Dance Studios

Dance & Yoga Studios

The Blue Room and Dance Studio have abundant open spaces and large windows exposing bright natural light. The areas offer stunning panoramic views of the New York City skyline. The Dance Studio features floor-to-ceiling mirrors along with other equipment and amenities. The blue ambiance of the "Blue Room" creates a unique visual aesthetic. The space allows for flexible seating to support various dance performances and modalities.

Ida K. Lang Recital Hall

The Ida K. Lang Recital Hall is a 149-seat concert space with superb acoustics, designed by the architectural firm Abramowitz Kingsland Schiff and inaugurated in the spring of 1995. Used principally for musical performance, it also accommodates staged readings, lectures, symposia and performances requiring no wing space or stage depth. The Lang Hall is located at 424 Hunter North. There is a Steinway C Grand Piano available and a Steinway D (used with permission by the Hunter College Music Department; a separate rental fee may apply).

Frederick Loewe Theatre

The Frederick Loewe Theatre is a black box theatre that seats an audience of 100. It can accommodate proscenium or thrust stage productions and houses most Department of Theatre events. For more information please contact: Box office: (212) 772- 4448. Administrative office: (212) 772-4227.
